Meet Wayne Kullman –as George Harrison

Guitarist Wayne Kullman’s musical roots
began emerging at the age of 10, and the musical
instrument of choice was none other than a plastic
toy guitar. At the closing of the episodes of the
popular “The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet,”
Ricky Nelson would perform one of his songs and
Wayne would be playing right along with with him
with that same plastic toy guitar.

After observing their son’s actions and
enthusiasm for rock n’ roll music, Wayne’s parents
presented him with his first “real” guitar and the
rest is history. Wayne hasn’t stopped playing his
guitar since!

Wayne played with various bands in high
school, but finally settled down after meeting Bob,
helping to form “American English.” Wayne played
the role of George for nearly eleven years before
leaving to pursue his passion for the world of auto
racing.

Around 1993 Wayne joined up with “Frank
Paul and the City Slickers,” a very successful
“rocking country band” which opened for various
country stars.

Greatly influenced by George Harrison, Wayne’s
vocal styling and portrayal of George is clearly
present during The Beatapples performance.
